Here is an culturally decorative figure of a native quail, hand formed by Master Craftsman Tomas Quintana. Señor Quintana favors images of native wildlife which reside in and around his artists colony of Mata Ortiz in the heart of Chihuahua, Mexico.
The Quail is hand decorated with designs that date back a thousand years ago to his ancestors of the Paquime Culture. Each and every part of this creature was hand fashioned and fired in an outdoor, homemade oven.
Each of Señor Quintana’s figures are unique and made from scratch, so no two are ever alike.
Señor Quintana signs his work on the underside.
