Señor Tomas Quintana - Sculptor
 Height - 2 inches - head, tail
Length - 7.5 inches - nose to rattle tip
If straightened, the snake would be approximately 15 inches
 Weight - 8 ounces
 Width - 1.125 inches - body

This pottery has been created by Señor Tomas Quintana. Tomas is regarded in the highest levels for his realistic and symbolic representations of the wildlife of Chihuahua. This is the first rattlesnake by Señor Quintana I have seen or offered for sale. It is in a striking pose. The symbolic aspect arises from the use of traditional designs first implemented by his ancestors 1000 years ago. The repeating geometric and triangular patterns are culturally typical as are the parallel rings on the rattle. The hole on the tip of the rattle is there for the firing process, keeping the figure from exploding.

Señor Quintana has signed the underside.
