Cuff = 1.6 inches wide x 8.25 inches (inside diameter)
Weight = 5.25 ounces

This Kashmiri cuff is hand created from over 45 individual sections/pieces in addition to all the silver work. Numerous sections are combined from smaller pieces which form them. This cuff is heavy with Sterling Silver. It weighs 5.25 ounces and averages 0.2 inches in thickness. The significant thickness serves as the foundation for all the beauty built on it. Between the eight petal tips of the central flower are trios of orbs created in a fine geometric trio. There are two hinges and clasp, creating another trio. Balanced designs on either side of the center piece flow in a serene wave of calmness and rich beauty. The cuff is created from 2 types of turquoise (Santa Rosa turquoise and I do not know the other), red coral & lapis from Afghanistan. The piece as a whole is greater than its individual parts and is the ultimate in unique handcrafting skills and heritage.
This was designed and crafted by Alea Mari & Co. in Scottsdale, Arizona. The cuff represents the sophistication and cultural influence of the Himalayan region of Kashmir. The exquisite silver work is traditional to the Kashmiri culture. Jewelry work by this family has been continuing for 12 decades, beginning in the foothills of the Himalayas and eventually making their way to the American Southwest .
The silver is .925 Sterling and stamped.
Kashmiri culture does not approve of signing ones work. The skill and craftsmanship, however, does exclaim 'Kashmir!'. The uniqueness of this piece and the others that I handle, is the strong Himalayan influence merged with American Southwest materials, for a truly multicultural, American/Kashmiri creation of the highest quality and beauty.
