This Septarian is a section taken from a larger geode. Sometimes large geodes are not in suitable condition to sell in their entirety. Rock hounds will take these and carve out smaller chunks that are nearly pristine. That is how this piece came into existence. Please look over all the photos carefully. This has some very minor abrasions that make several points lighter. A dab of salad oil applied with a q-tip will darken these to match the surrounding crystals. I am offering this crystal at this price and leaving it to the buyer to do with it as they like. Some folks will prefer to leave the mineral untouched from any further work. The crystallization is outstanding. The yellow is solid and rich. The piece is cut in a way so when sitting, the maximum visibility of the crystals is possible.
