This piece is a cyclone of movement, with surreal patterns evolved from his ancestors of a thousand years ago. The ancient Paquime cultural designs are everywhere. Texture is immense, as deep etchings, known as Sgraffito, are at the heart of the designs. Darkest brown outlines and internal patterns create borders between calm and driven. White clay with white glaze act as the strongest contrast to the darker images glazed within. Rich brick red is the catalyst that ties all the shades into this cohesive folk art.
