Señor Señor Oscar Quezada is the creator of this piece of Mata Ortiz celebration. Señor Quezadas organic skills are exhibited in his recreation of the ancient Paquime imagery of his ancestors. This piece is the size and shape of the native gourds which grow in the area. The underlying glaze is black. That provides the groundwork for showing off bold and beautiful colors of the rainbow. The orange, gold, blue, lavender and green bright and cheerful. All the designs represent Señor Quezadas interpretation of ancient ancestral designs merged with a contemporary style. Committed time and skill was put into creating this one of a kind pottery.
