Artist Girardo Mora Teña is the master craftsman behind this pottery. His work covers a wide spectrum of creativity and design. Also, his work has been difficult to acquire, but I have it here!
His creation of this art is very time consuming. He harvests his own clay in the nearby Sierra Madre Mountains. The dye for the glaze is obtained from local plants and stone and soil. The pottery is bathed in symbols and shapes first used in the Chihuahua Casas Grandes region one thousand years ago. This is an old art form in the New World.
Paquime impressions of feathers adorn the opening in a circular pattern. Ancient cosmic pinwheels and sacred triangles are everywhere. For a small piece such as this, there is an amazing amount of detail.
This pottery is new and is fresh and has never been privately owned. It comes with a pottery ring to sit on. The Artists signature is on the bottom.
And know with confidence that I hand select each piece for sale and put each piece through a series of tests to make sure it is the highest grade pottery from the artists.
