Welcome.
Here is a hand made native Gambel's Quail from south of the border in Nogales, Mexico. This was created by Jesus Trujillo, famed young artisan specializing in images of native wildlife. The Gambel's Quail is a prominent symbol of the southwest United States and northern Mexico.
This wonderful and authentic piece is made of untreated metal so the surface may rust in a lovely natural way. The details are both cheerful and impressive. The top knot feather on the head and the overall triangular shape of the bird is wonderfully represented.
This sculpture of metal weighs 5 ounces. It measures 5 inches long from breast to tail tip, by around 1.75 inches wide. It stands 6 inches tall.
The piece is suitable for both outdoors or indoors and is wonderful animal folk art.
