Cobaltoan Dolomite are two large words translated to mean ‘Beautiful Bright Congo Pink/Fuchsia Mineral’. It is often cited as the most Radiant of crystals found anywhere. Another name, Salrose, refers to all the great pink/fuchsia stones coming out of The Republic of the Congo. The Congo IS the ultimate locale for high quality Cobaltoan Dolomite worldwide, and Congo Cobaltoan Dolomite IS the pinkest, most lustrous of stones. This piece is especially elevated due to it have a full layer on TWO sides. This is very uncommon. The druzy layer of fine crystallization thinly coats the flattened face of the host rock.
Malachite is a secondary mineral which is often associated with this crystal. With this piece there are several smudges which are this Malachite inclusion.
This Cobaltoan has uncommonly fine sparkle, glimmer, luster, and glitter. Held in bright light, it gives an extraordinary light show. Cobaltoan specimens in this store are the finest at the lowest prices you will find.
