This creation was designed by Alea Mari & Co. in Scottsdale, Arizona. This pendant represents the sophistication and cultural influence of the region of Kashmir. Jewelry work by this family has been continuing for 12 decades, beginning in the foothills of the Himalayas and eventually making its way to the Southwest U.S..
The Opal Dendrite stone is from New Mexico. The .925 Sterling Silver is Nickle free. The stone is encased in silver wire wrapping and a silver hoop. Both sides are stunning in their own right and are each suitable for viewing. The bale is stamped '925'.
Kashmiri culture does not approve of signing ones work. The skill and craftsmanship, however, does say 'Kashmir'. The uniqueness of this piece, and the others that I handle, is the strong Himalayan influence merged with southwest materials, for a truly multi-cultural, Kashmiri/American creation of the highest quality and beauty.
A fine silver metal chain is included.
