Artist Tomasa Mora has hand crafted this lovely and graceful pottery. With a rounded form, long neck and wide mouth, the style reflects tradition from one thousand years ago to her Paquime ancestors. They lived in the Casas Grandes region of Chihuahua Mexico. And Ms. Mora has added some curved lines adding a contemporary feel. The glaze of black is nearly mirror-like. This is the deepest, richest shined black glaze found. The designs are heavy in geometric influences and stand out due to the finesse given in combining a matte finish along side the mirrored finish. The collar is a band of design known as a 'tick' pattern. It is elegant and beautiful.
Artist Tomasa Mora signs her work on the bottom.
