Artists Ms. Armida Corona created this handmade pottery. The walls are thick and durable. The glaze of this pottery is superior. Subtle blends from gentle leafy green to earthen red and sunshine yellow combine to create a soothing harmony.
The firing is longer in duration to assure strong ceramic for this investment in art which will last a lifetime. I only deal in the finest level of pottery provided by the villagers of Mata Ortiz.
For this piece the artist has implemented the deep etching method known as 'Sgafritto'. The relief effect of the parrots, tree branches, and leaves makes this a true long term collectors piece of pottery and folk art. The pottery is made from white clay native to the Mata Ortiz area. Along with the white clay, all the materials and glazes used to make this are from the finest of elements of the Good Earth native to the countryside surrounding the village of Mata Ortiz.
The ring is included with the pottery.
