This is a brightly painted Orange & Rainbow Talavera Frog. Hand painted and created in Mexico, this piece is very typical of the brilliant colors and designs used in Talavera ceramics. There is a hole in the back if you would like to hang it. The piece is solid and cheerful. Every color of the spectrum has been used in addition to the green canvas of the frogs body. Colorful and festive shapes are a hallmark of Latin American, hand painted folk art, especially out of Mexico. Predominately orange pieces are much less common and it makes the other colors pop out brilliantly.
