This specimen is a red and beige coprolite, which is fossilized dinosaur dung. It has been polished to reveal detailed patterns and coloration within the agate rock structure.
Origin
Discovered in Utah, this coprolite showcases the region's unique geological history and provides insight into the prehistoric environment of dinosaurs.
Features
- Distinctive orange and beige coloration
- Composed of agate, giving it a polished and detailed appearance
- Represents fossilized dinosaur excrement (poop/dung)
Serious fossil collectors have a minimum of several of these Coprolite specimens in their collections. A fossil is defined as any traces or remains of life in the past. Coprolites fit perfectly into this definition. This is a long piece with a marble like appearance featuring red and light beige agate. The original material has been replaced molecule by molecule with minerals to form into an agate. This 'poop' has been polished into a beautiful piece with a near glass like finish. These are very popular (or is it 'poopular'?) with adults and kids. I provide an acrylic display stand.
