Canadian Amethyst is also knowns as Thunder Bay Amethyst or Red Cap amethyst. This crystal is found only in a very localized area of Thunder Bay in Ontario. This unique crystal is immediately recognized with its hematite which gives it it a rich dark grainy red appearance. In this piece the hematite has accumulated on the large point.
