This Thunderegg is from the Eddy Bed Formation in Oregon, the only state where you will find nodules of this quality. This nodule has very sharp, delineated layers, or striations. This piece has a translucence that is like clear ice in a lake, revealing details below the surface. The inner blue mineral is shaped similarly to a fractal pattern. This is a fine mineral formation in the center of what was once a hollow bubble from ancient volcanic activity. I include a clear acrylic stand to show this display piece.
