This is a miniature Congolese Malachite Egg. D.R. Congo is known throughout the world for having the finest of these gems. Because of the superior polish, the fine layering and striations are intense sharp. The one side possesses the most beautiful lighter green hemisphere of malachite while the opposite side is a dark concentric pool going into another realm. I acquired this mineral directly from the Congolese folks who handled the mining and shaping of this exquisite egg. I include a small nylon ring for setting this on.
