Señor Tomas Quintana - Artist
Approximate Dimensions:

Here is a sitting vulture with wide open wings, hand formed by Master Craftsman Tomas Quintana. Señor Quintana favors images of native wildlife which reside in and around his artists colony of Mata Ortiz in the heart of Chihuahua, Mexico.
The Vulture is hand decorated with designs that date back a thousand years ago to his ancestors of the Paquime Culture. Traditional stylistic feather patterns appear on the inside of the wings. Its breast is adorned in geometric patterns similar to art forms founds throughout the ancient arts of the southwest. On the back are two magnificent mirror image eagles and they blend perfectly into the overall design.
Each and every part of this creature was hand fashioned and fired in an outdoor, homemade oven.
Each of Señor Quintana’s figures are unique and made from scratch, so no two are ever alike. And, Señor Quintana signs his work on the underside.
