Here is a beautiful polished Blue Flame Chalcedony Geode Matching Pair from Utah. This was cut from one rock, so it is matching. This chalcedony has a wonderful luster. It creates an effect as if we are looking into a pond of ice. Bright light going through at various angles reveal hidden dimensions. The white matrix on the surface is sharp and clear. And just under the surface features are more mysterious and deep, like things which get frozen into ice. And one half has a crystal chamber on a microscopic level. Take a look of the closeup photograph I took of this chamber. The flat polish has succeeded tremendously in drawing out the effect. The finest chalcedony comes from this western state.
