Here is a new acquisition for my store. This is a very fine half piece Dugway geode. It is a single open chamber extending clear through the geode. The geode has a packed lining of very nicely defined quarts points. The underside has four round felt 'feet' for resting in a display position while protecting the surface of where it is sitting. The flat polished face has rings of layered brown mineralization encircling the chamber. Also referred to as a 'Thunder Egg', this geode, as with all my Dugways, is from the finest beds of geodes in Utah known as the Juab Formation. I buy these directly from the miners who excavate them.
