This is a well formed Dugway geode with a fissure chamber. The chamber is blanketed with the finest, microscopic blue druzy quarts with a fuzzy texture. The lighter blue center in hemmed in by a darker blue, heavy line border. And that border is surrounded by prehistoric, petrified mud-stone. The face has a fine ice surface polish. Under long-wave Ultra Violet, these Dugways also glow - see photo. This is also referred to as a 'Thunder Egg'. As with all my Dugways, this geode is from the Juab Formation in Utah. The Juab Formation provides the finest geodes. I buy these directly from the miners who excavate them.
An acrylic stand is included for displaying this crystal.
