This is a magnificent Smoky Black Quartz from Ron Coleman Mining in Arkansas. Some of the finest quartz points in the U.S. are from this area. With these black pieces the Coleman family has finished what Mother Nature began.
The smokiness of originally clear quartz was created from intense heating within the earths crust, causing the aluminum inside to darken. The Coleman Company takes these quartz and irradiates them further to create this intense black. It is all natural and safe with no added chemicals or residual radiation. And the final result is stunning.
This is a hefty cluster of two large points, with the lower one blending into the upright point. It is a wonderful configuration with brilliant, smooth faces.
