Here is a Azurite Earring and Pendant set in the image of the Cocoa Leaf, created by the family run business of Urin Huanca*. The Cocoa Leaf was a central aspect of the ancient Inca culture for millennia. It possesses healing powers and provides spiritual sustenance. These properties gave the leaf its high status with the Inca. This status maintains its high reverence with the Incas modern descendants.
Azurite and Sterling Silver were used to create this set. All materials are from Peru, from its Pacific shore to its high inland mountains. Fourteen individual pieces are in the pendant, plus a small roundlet of Lapis on the bale. Also there are seven roundlets on the back, one each of seven gemstones and shell from the Peruvian region. The earrings have eleven pieces of inlay each. Every piece was skillfully cut and inlaid by hand. The silver is of the highest purity of .950 Sterling.
The Gemstones on the back are; Sugalite, Lapis, Azurite, Malachite,
Nacre, Spiny Oyster, & Red Coral.
