This Ammonite from the east African island nation of Madagascar is in superb condition with skilled handling to bring it to this point. The most obvious quality is the blue and green flashes of electric iridescence it reflects when held in bright light. The surface is covered with an opaque, fossilized shell. In areas where this shell has flaked away, suturing from the former fish may be visible.
