And that border is surrounded by prehistoric, petrified mud-stone. The face has a fine ice surface polish. Under long-wave Ultra Violet, these Dugways also glow - see photo. This is also referred to as a 'Thunder Egg'. As with all my Dugways, this geode is from the Juab Formation in Utah. The Juab Formation provides the finest geodes.
